18 linesBOYD YOUNG: Your Honor, the Defense would call Dr. Julie Dorney. (Whereupon, a bench conference was held in the presence of the jury but out of the hearing of the jury and is stated below.)
BOYD YOUNG: Judge, just pursuant to the Court's prior rulings, we won't be asking her about social history testimony before--
THE COURT: You can ask her if she considered it because, she can consider it.
BOYD YOUNG: We won't be asking her about specific events.
THE COURT: All right. The grandmother had this or the grandmother did that.
BOYD YOUNG: Right. The grandmother was raped at the age of 12 and had a kid and all of that stuff is stuff that the Court has ruled we can't get into.
THE COURT: Off limits, correct.
BOYD YOUNG: And self abortion and that stuff is off limits.
THE COURT: Off limits but she has reviewed all of those records.
BOYD YOUNG: Sure.
THE COURT: You can ask her that. That is consistent with my ruling, yes.
SHAWN GRAHAM: I don't have a report but she made a comment on, seventh interview by Mississippi and all of that.
BOYD YOUNG: Yeah, we are not.
SHAWN GRAHAM: Okay, I didn't want to get into what you already ruled on about what Marty Patterson said.
THE COURT: For your protection, your objection to my limiting you to that social history is noted right now.
BOYD YOUNG: Still have to do a proffer.
THE COURT: Okay.
