4.Curative Instruction on Prior Cocaine Testimony

THE COURT: Okay. One curative instruction, meaning there was something happened during the trial and I wanted to kind of explain it. There was testimony brought out when Dr. Wood was testifying. It was regarding a prior conviction from 2001 involving Mr. Jones. And the gist of it was, did you realize or know that Mr. Jones was a heavy user of crack cocaine. The actual analysis in evidence, hadn't seen it, but he was convicted of possession of cocaine, rock cocaine, not crack cocaine. The comments on heavy user of crack cocaine will be disregarded. So he was not using crack. It was powder cocaine, six-tenths of a gram, possession of, end result. So don't want y'all discussing there was testimony of crack cocaine. It was a mistake on fact. There was a conviction in '01 of powder cocaine.
